Activist Proposal

My goal in the Activist Proposal is to promote recycling. There is way too much that can be reused, especially in our college community. The USI campus offers plenty of places to dispose of recyclable goods so there should be no reason to not recycle, except out of laziness. Recycling helps the earth and our resources. My solution for this proposal is to get the word out there about recycling as much as possible. I will come up with flyers and information guides on recycling, maybe even find recycled goods to hand out (us college kids love free stuff). The flyers will contain information on how recycling helps our inviornment and all of those around us. My goal is to help out the Green Life in making USI campus a greener place by having all residents recycle their goods.

(These are just ideas so far. I'm not sure if this is what I am definitely going to advocate, but it is a big issue in Green Life.)

  1. I think that you have a great goal in mind. Have your decided exactly what you want to include in the information? that would be something to think about. i would say that you also would want to put everything you are putting out in the UC or near it where there are a lot of people there walking by that you can talk to and get the word out that way
if you have others helping you, i think that you are off to a great start.
i am definately interested in this.

  2. Yeah the kind of information that we are going to include is like how to recycle properly and the perks of recycling and how it helps others and the enviornment, stuff like that. We are all setting up under the UC Bridge I think so it will definately be easy to get people's attention. I am working with one other person so, I think we are off to a good start. Thanks for being interested and thanks for the input.

  3. Sorry for such a slow response. I feel that you have a great idea and after reading your response to the first comment, I feel that you have your priorities straight as to what you are going to do. Good luck.
